Leadership Evidence Checklist
Use these prompts to test whether top management can show real quality leadership rather than relying on policy wording alone.
Leadership decisions
- Can management show decisions made because of QMS data, risks, or customer issues?
- Are resources, priorities, or improvement actions visibly approved by leadership?
- Do board or director meetings reference quality performance in a meaningful way?
Policy and direction
- Does the quality policy reflect real business context and strategy?
- Can staff explain the policy in plain language?
- Are objectives linked to leadership priorities, not just audit compliance?
Culture and behaviour
- Can the organisation define expected quality behaviours clearly?
- Are data integrity and ethical conduct reinforced in communications and reviews?
- Do leaders role-model quality expectations in daily operations?
Management review
- Do reviews produce actions, owners, due dates, and follow-up evidence?
- Is performance data used to decide what changes next?
- Are risk, opportunity, change, and improvement discussed together?
Good evidence includes leadership minutes, objective reviews, resource approvals, staff communications, action trackers, and management review outputs that show direction, not just attendance.
